We live in the sound byte generation, so we have to get after it in making it crystal clear what your sins are - hence, the terse messages. But each word on each sign is pregnant with powerful meaning from the Bible out. We are simply applying God's blessed word to the situation on the ground in the world - we are duty-bound to an act of love toward our neighbors in warning you that your sins are taking you to hell.
